Laserassisted stamping and forming of high-strength sheet metals in one setup – „Hybrid-Punch“ (IN-7026)
In the context of the networkproject »Hybrid-Punch« a robust and modular laserintegration in an available automatic punch press is developed. This system offers to use a combination of the methods laserheating and stamping (laser assisted shearing and forming) for hybrid complete machining of high-strengh sheet metals in one clamping setup. The development of a flexible laser assisted shearing made it possibleto form and cut sheet metals with a limited forming capacity, e.g. titanium alloys which would crack in conventional punch presses.
