Aluminium Cladding
Near-net-shape laser cladding of aluminium alloys (Vo 530/30-1)
The aim of the following project is the generation of a wear
protective aluminium bronze layers on aluminium base materials. The
generation of these layers should be near net shape with low distortion
of the part via laser cladding. It is supposed to lower the effort of
post processing by the realisation of near net shape claddings. Due to
the significant higher melting temperature of the cladding material in
comparison to the base material it is necessary to follow a tailored
energy deposition. This should be realised by pulsed laser radiation or
respectively by multi layer cladding. Moreover, the energy deposition
will be analysed by a temperature FEA calculation. In addition, the
residual stresses will be calculated. This model will be validated with
the experiment. An optimisation of the process parameters is aspired
via the temperature and stress model regarding a special energy
deposition.
