Integrated Three-Dimensional Television – Capture, Transmission and Display (Contract no. 511568)
In the European Network of Excellence 3DTV the complete chain of three dimensional TV - from capturing and data transfer to displaying the information with the help of different 3D display technologies - is discussed. 19 partners from different european countries are working in this collaborative project. The primary goal is the knowledge transfer between the leading scientific institutions in this field to gain synergies for the development of 3D TV. BIAS is working in this context in the areas 3D capturing techniques with the help of coherent and non-coherent methods and displaying the data holographically by using spatial light modulators. Based on this network additional cooperations with several partners and new joint projects have been started.
