The departement of materials and modelling is conducting basic and
applied research in the field of joining of similar and disimilar
materials, structuring and forming components and materials by
conventional and laser-based processes as well as simulating material
behavior in various processes. The aim is to establish new processes
and methods on the basis of systematic research, which will then be
transfered into industrial applications.
The departement of materials and modelling consists of four groups:
